Duos

I currently play in a number of guitar-based duos (James Allen, Scott “Mateo” Davies, Nick Haas), each of which is available amplified or acoustic. These duos play a range of genres including jazz, flamenco, bossa nova and classical music, and have the added advantage of being both highly portable and compliant to various ordinances regarding amplification (city, park, synagogue, etc.). (And unlike DJs or your iPod, none of these groups will fail when your reception is suddenly beset by inclement weather.) As with any of the music you hear on this page, let me know if you’d like to adapt the instrumentation or repertoire to your venue or event.

The Nick Haas Trio

The Nick Haas Trio is a guitar-based jazz combo whose repertoire varies greatly depending on the venue, ranging from the classic jazz of the 50’s and 60’s to modern, original compositions.

Original Compositions

Original Compositions/Improvised Music: In addition to more traditional ensembles, I often perform original material using alternative instrumentations and longer forms.
